Thanks for the hint with a conflicting add-on.
I disabled all but your Snipe-add-on. Then the button works.
Unfortunately even then I keep getting the message "No eBay search results in your browser." when running a search
like www.ebay.de/sch/m.html?_odkw=&_ssn=dauerschnaeppchen&item=351508138702&_osacat=0&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_from=R40&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.XLED+GU10+-(5%2C3).TRS0&_nkw=LED+GU10+-(5%2C3)&_sacat=0
and using the menue entry to snipe on the resulting page.

It has nothing to do with a new tab, so this is something else.
Is it possible you keep some buttons pressed during clicking? Or maybe you have some other add-on which conflicts this way? Please check.

Just to confirm that the Snipe-it Button is still not working on http://www.ebay.de/
Tried with many items of all types with recent and older Firefox. Clicking the button opens only a new tab with the item page.
