I started having this problem on Monday... First time it's ever been an issue for me.
I suspect it has something to do with the user account status, as I had just had a listing removed on Saturday (for bogus reasons, but supposedly I was in violation of eBay's listing policies.)
My hypothesis is that my account is on probation for a while due to the violation. However, if I place a bid through the website, I don't get prompted to provide any additional verification code. Hopefully myibidder will resume working for me again eventually.
I missed out on one item as a result, but oh well.

I called them and reported it several times. It gets much better compared to how it was before, so it seems like they are working on it.

I had this same problem last night. First time I've used the app in a while and unfortunately it failed. Would calling ebay and complaining help to get it resolved if it's their issue??

They do know. I see huge improvements since last time.
The amount of affected snipes is much lower.
I also made some changes to mitigate the issue, but it's still requires eBay to properly handle it. And it seems like they are doing it which is good.

I see no issues at all. The system works fine.
I was able to locate your account (starts with "n"). I see you set a snipe and you won the item.
Why do you think the issue still exist if you won the snipe?
Please check and confirm. I would guess you have something else which is not related.

As of today the same problem still exists - lost faith now as sach as stated for the last upteen months it is only a glitch - just 'fess up and say you dont know how to fix - we will understand.

Just left this on the other forum, hope it's helpful!
In final desperation I think I've found an answer, I opened myibidder up and went to 'my account', which I'd never had occasion to do before, in there it gives you the option to enter your normal Ebay password, I did this and put in a test bid a couple of days hence, I then got an Email that my bid had been placed, and no bitching about verification etc; it worked for me, so I hope it works for others.

for the last 2 weeks all my snipes have failed due to this verification code issue, most recently a few minutes ago. Really hope this can be resolved.

Yes, it came back. Even though it was recovered significantly faster, it affected some snipes.
I also made some changes to minimize it, but it looks like eBay is improving it anyway.

I have no control over it, so nobody can give you 100% guarantee that this issue is resolved.
If you see some service provides 100%, there is something fishy about it or they are not being completely honest.
That's just a nature of the service like this -- it depends on another service. If that other service is having issues, all dependents are having issues too.
eBay is a complex system and they have issues from time to time. Having issues in a complex system is normal, but the main thing is not how many issues you have, but how fast you can resolve them.
eBay is pretty good for resolving their issues quickly. That's why I like them and recommend to others.

Was not looking for a guarantee of winning, Sashka. But I would like to hear that this particular problem is completely understood and fixed.
Technical glitches happen, I understand that. But after 18 months of literally 100% reliability in using your product, forgive me if I have come to count on perfection. To that I plead guilty.

Everything looks good since yesterday, so it looks like it was resolved.
However, I can't guarantee that eBay will never have any issues in the future. I have no control over eBay.
After all, sniping does not guarantee winning. If you need 100% guarantee, you have to bid manually on eBay, high and early.

I had this problem last night around 9:50 pm EDT. It caused me to lose an item that I wanted to a lower bidder. Would have won easily if the snipe had worked.
Could you please notify us here when you know FOR SURE that this problem is fixed?
I have been using Myibidder for a year and a half (Windows app), and it has worked perfectly every time! Until now. This is the first time it has let me down. Not sure I can trust it again until you advise that the problem is definitely fixed for good. Thanks.

Correct, as I mentioned earlier, eBay had the issue today so your snipes were affected.
It's possible the issue may come up again today since it requires some time for eBay to fix it.

It seems like the same issue came on up eBay's side. It looks good as of now, but there are many snipes were affected by that.
I'm sorry for affected snipes. I wish I could do something about it besides reporting the issue to eBay.

I have had the paid version Stand alone for a few days. Was using free version that worked.

I've had the app (paid version) for a few days now. It worked perfectly up until last night. All of my snipes are lost due to it saying that ebay requires a verification code. I can place bids manually with no problem but the snipe app isn't working at all.
Any advice? I looked through my email, nothing regarding a verification code was found. I'm not buying more than usual or anything.
