You are right, it does not do resorting when item ended.
I put it in my ToDo list and it will be fixed in the next version.

Sorting (by earliest ending time) failing with ended item present.
Click the 'Time Left' column label, to sort by Time Left. Usually it works exactly as it's supposed to.
However, if one item is ended, the sorting is all confused. e.g. The ending item is at the top, but the remaining items are sorted decreasingly. Click the label again and ending goes to the bottom - but the remaining items are still sorted decreasingly.
